Fashion without inclusivity is not fashionable. Full stop, signed sealed delivered, I’m yours. Over the last decade we’ve seen the fashion industry grow, thanks to models, designers, and brands that declared enough is enough. And in that spirit of defiance of the white heterosexual skinny norm, they started creating clothes for people of all sizes, shapes, genders and races.

Before, plus sized “collections” were delegated to unkempt sections of department stores. The clothes were expensive and rarely fashionable with little to no variety. These collections screamed, “Hide your body” and “Be ashamed.” Today, curvy big girls can flaunt their beautiful bodies in crop tops, palazzos, mini skirts and more. Below is a list of six designers and brands that encompass this new wave of fashion innovation. They champion the cause of making fashion for everyone. Period. As usual, if you like something, click something.

About: Premme was founded by plus size industry leaders Gabi Gregg and Nicolette Mason, who have been breaking rules and pushing boundaries for nearly a decade.  With their backgrounds as fashion editors at InStyle and Marie Claire, design consultants and two of the first style bloggers they decided it was finally time to team up and address the wide open gaps in the market, realizing the only way they could truly actualize their vision was by doing it themselves.
